VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — Vinton County Sheriff’s Office had a busy day on March 27, 2023, as they responded to several incidents throughout the day.
Early in the morning, at 12:27 AM, the deputies were called to assist the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio State Highway Patrol in a vehicle pursuit that entered Vinton County. The chase ended when the suspect’s vehicle crashed and caught fire on Ponetown Road. The driver, identified as Keith Doles, was arrested by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.
Later at 9:20 AM, the deputies responded to a possible overdose on State Route 683. Upon arrival, they found Bryan Ousley in the vehicle with a loaded firearm and drug paraphernalia in plain view. Ousley was arrested and transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
At 11:11 AM, the deputies responded to L&S Drive Thru for a suspicious person. They arrested Aaron Brown, who had outstanding warrants from Jackson County. Brown was then transferred to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
At 7:54 PM, the deputies were called to West Main Street in McArthur in reference to a domestic dispute. Details of the incident are unknown at this time.
At 8:13 PM, the deputies responded to a non-injury vehicle crash on Stanton Avenue in Hamden.
Throughout the day, the deputies conducted several routine checks and patrols in the county, including a traffic stop on US Highway 50, a well-being check on Malone Road, and a check on an abandoned vehicle on Locker Plant Road. They also executed a search warrant on State Route 278.
