PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has released its weekly construction update for Pike County. The following construction projects are anticipated to affect roadways in the area. All outlined work, officials said, is weather permitting.

One ongoing project is the Adams Road Bridge Replacement, which began on March 20. The project aims to replace the bridge on Adams Road at the intersection with Red Hollow Road. Adams Road will be closed for the duration of the project, with traffic detoured via Red Hollow Road, S.R. 32, and S.R. 335. The estimated completion date is Summer 2023.

Another ongoing project is the Watson Road Slide Repair, which began on February 6. The project involves slide repair work on Watson Road between Mutton Run Road and the Ross County line. One lane of Watson Road is open to traffic as of February 20, and one lane of traffic will be maintained using temporary signals throughout the project. The estimated completion date is Summer 2023.

In addition, the U.S. 23 Resurfacing project began on March 27. The project aims to resurface U.S. 23 between Wakefield Mound Road and the village of Piketon. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction on U.S. 23 throughout construction, with additional impacts including shoulder closures and shifted travel lanes. The estimated completion date is Summer 2023.

Finally, the State Route 104/220/551 Resurfacing project began on March 27. The project involves the resurfacing of sections of S.R. 104, S.R. 220, and S.R. 551. Traffic will be maintained in one lane throughout construction using flaggers. Work will occur daily from 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday to Saturday. The estimated completion date is also Summer 2023.
