ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Ross County residents should be prepared for upcoming road closures as construction projects are set to begin next week. The State Route 772 Culvert Repair project will close the road for five days between Bishop Hill Road and Rinehart Road starting April 10. Traffic will be detoured via Blain Highway and U.S. 50 during the closure. The estimated completion date is April 14, weather permitting.

Meanwhile, the Route 23 Weigh Station conversion project has already begun as of April 3. The project aims to convert the decommissioned weigh stations on U.S. 23 north of U.S. 35 into truck parking facilities. Traffic impacts will be minimal, but short-term lane and shoulder closures may occur as equipment and materials are moved to and from the site. The estimated completion date is Summer 2023.

Another ongoing project is the S.R. 138 Bridge Replacement, which began on March 1. The project involves the replacement of the bridge on S.R. 138 between Austin Road and Mallow Road. Traffic will be maintained using concrete barrier walls and temporary traffic signals during construction, and temporary pavement widening will be performed using flaggers. The estimated completion date is also Summer 2023.

All outlined work is weather permitting, and projects with active or future traffic impacts can be found on OHGO.com. For more information, the public can contact the District 9 Public Information Office at 740-774-8834.
