ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A local man has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies following a domestic violence incident in Ross County.

According to authorities, on Saturday, April 15, at 9:54 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Ross County Law Complex to speak with a male subject regarding a domestic violence situation. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the male subject, who stated that the mother of his child was being restrained from leaving her residence by his brother, Jeff Stanley.

The man went on to inform the deputies that his brother had assaulted the woman the previous day by choke slamming her in their residence. As a result, Stanley was taken into custody and charged with felony abduction, domestic violence, assault, and obstruction of justice.

He remains in custody at the Ross County Jail pending arraignment.
