CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Health District is hosting a community outreach fair, Let’s Talk About Recovery, to promote resources for addiction recovery. The event will take place on April 27 and April 28 from 10am to 6 pm at the Tabernacle Baptist Church located at 221 East Main Street, Chillicothe, OH 45601.

The fair will offer health and wellness programs, education and training, free food, Narcan, prescription drug takebacks, recovery support services, and treatment providers. The Ross County Health District is urging community members to attend the event and take advantage of these resources.

According to the Ohio Department of Health, there were 5,215 overdose deaths in Ohio in 2020, a 22% increase from the previous year. Ross County has also seen an increase in overdose deaths, with 20 overdose deaths in 2020, up from 17 in 2019.

The Let’s Talk About Recovery: Community Outreach Fair is a free event open to the public. Breakfast will be served starting at 10 am and dinner will be served starting at 4 pm on both days of the event.
