JACKSON COUNTY, Ohio — A Wellston man lost his life over the weekend in a fatal motorcycle crash.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, on Sunday, June 4, 32-year-old Matthew Carl was traveling south along Route 93, when he lost control on a curve. Carl and his 2009 Yamaha YZF-R6, per the patrol, traveled off the left side of the highway. The motorcycle would strike a guardrail and then overturn.
Carl was transported to Holzer Medical Center in Jackson where he would later be pronounced deceased.
Officials say the crash remains under investigation.
