CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Board of Elections has announced two temporary changes to polling locations for the upcoming Special Primary Election on August 8. The move comes as a part of the department’s commitment to ensuring voters can participate in elections despite operational constraints.
In an official statement, Traci Henness, the Director of the Ross County Board of Elections, detailed the adjustments. Voters who previously cast their ballots at the old Unioto High School will now vote at the Unioto Elementary Gymnasium. The Gymnasium is located at 138 Sandusky Boulevard, Chillicothe.
Similarly, if you are accustomed to voting at the Ross County Fairgrounds, your new temporary polling station will be at the Pickaway/Ross Adult Education building. You can find this location at 1410 Industrial Drive, Chillicothe.
Henness said the Board of Elections are making every effort to keep voters informed about these changes and to minimize disruption. To this end, the Board of Elections will provide additional details and information about the temporary location changes on its official website: boe.ohio.gov/ross.
The board is in the process of sending postcards to voters in the affected precincts and locations. These cards will serve as an additional reminder of the changes to their polling stations.
Ross County voters are encouraged to check their new polling locations and plan accordingly to ensure their voices are heard in the upcoming Special Primary Election.
