ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A Ross County woman is currently in jail on a $50,000 bond after being charged with felonious assault.
The charges stem from an incident that took place on June 11. According to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to Malone Road following reports of a large fight. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies spoke with the 911 caller, who stated that 50-year-old Angelic Crisp and several other individuals had shown up at their home and began attacking members of their family.
The report provided by the Sheriff’s Office indicates that the fight originated from a drunken incident. The caller informed deputies that her son and another person had been heavily drinking the night before. At some point during the night, the caller’s son’s friend passed out, and a video was taken of the individual with their pants down. Allegedly, this incident infuriated Angelic Crisp.
The 911 caller provided deputies with a video that purportedly showed Angelic Crisp and a group of individuals arriving at the front yard and proceeding to the front door. Deputies noted in their report that one of the individuals in the video picked up a shovel and held it in a manner resembling a baseball bat. The report further stated that Crisp allegedly grabbed a “metal gas container” and struck one of the residents of the home multiple times in the head. After the alleged assault, Crisp and the others in the group returned to their vehicle.
Although the victim in the case declined medical attention, deputies observed several knots on his head and bleeding from one of his ears as a result of the assault.
The case was presented to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of felony charges. On Monday, Angelic Crisp was arrested on charges of felonious assault. Additionally, Christian Crisp was arrested today on charges of misdemeanor assault. Both individuals are currently in custody at the Ross County Jail. Authorities have stated that the case will be presented to the next session of the Ross County Grand Jury.
