CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A man was arrested after fleeing from police in Chillicothe, on Wednesday, June 28.

The man, identified as Jacob Steele, was first spotted by police pushing a dirt bike near the Pilot Gas Station on E. Main St. When police attempted to approach him, Steele fled on foot.

Police chased Steele through a field and onto Warner Ave., where he fell to the ground and ripped his shirt. He continued to flee south on Warner Ave. but was eventually tackled by police and taken into custody.

Steele was found to have active warrants for his arrest. He was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center for evaluation, and then to the Ross County Jail.
