CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Authorities are currently investigating an alleged assault incident that occurred at a residence on South Hickory Street on Thursday. Law enforcement officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of South Hickory Street.
Upon arrival, officers encountered an individual who had multiple facial injuries. The injured party recounted that the altercation took place earlier in the day while assisting a friend in replacing doors at a residence on Glencroft Avenue. The doors had purportedly been damaged the previous night by the alleged attacker.
According to the account provided, two individuals approached the victim near the Glencroft Avenue residence. One of them allegedly wielded brass knuckles or a similar metal object and struck the victim on the chin. Simultaneously, the second individual began punching the victim in the back of the head. After the assault, the assailants took tools from a white utility van and issued threats, instructing the victim to reclaim the tools from a different location.
The victim cooperated with authorities, providing a written voluntary statement and sharing phone messages that appeared threatening. The victim also expressed neck pain but declined transportation to a nearby medical facility, opting to seek medical attention independently.
In a related incident, officers responded to threats made over the phone at a different location on Park Street. The victim of the threats expressed concerns about personal belongings believed to be in the possession of the individual making the threats. A police officer confirmed the timeline of the calls and recommended providing a medical report for injuries sustained during the altercation.
Law enforcement officers subsequently visited the Glencroft Avenue residence to locate the individuals. The case is ongoing and remains under investigation. The suspect’s name has not been released pending arrest.
