CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Chillicothe man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly threw hot coffee on his neighbor.
The incident occurred on the 700 block of Adams Ave. The victim told police that he was walking welding equipment to his neighbor’s house when the neighbor threw hot coffee on him. The victim provided police with surveillance footage that showed the incident.
The footage, officers said, showed the victim crossing the street with the box of tools when a man in black pants and a black shirt entered the left side of the picture and threw coffee out of his cup onto the victim.
Police identified the man in the video as Andrew Johnson. When officers spoke to Johnson, he claimed that he had “tripped” and “spilled coffee on the victim.” Per the report by police, Johnson was charged with assault.
