Overnight fire in Chillicothe stems from basement

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A house in Chillicothe caught fire early Friday morning.

It happened at 19 North Fork Drive at around 1:30 a.m.

Homeowners called 9-1-1 and said that their basement was on fire. Multiple fire departments from around the county responded to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
