HILLSBORO, Ohio — Atomic Credit Union is pleased to welcome the Hillsboro Assistant Branch Manager, Courtney Parsons. The branch, which is located at 583 Harry Sauner Rd., is set to open this December.
Courtney is a lifelong resident of Highland County. She is a 2006 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School. Courtney brings with her 8 ½ years of banking experience, starting as a part-time teller, and working her way up to Assistant Center Manager. She has had a successful career in building relationships with clients, while helping with solutions ranging from account opening to credit building and rebuilding, consumer lending, small business lending, and mortgage refinancing, all with a strong focus on financial center operations!
“I look forward to investing my current experience with Atomic and their strong community centric foundation,” Courtney stated. Courtney resides in the Sugar Tree Ridge area with her husband of 14 years, Jeremy, and their two daughters, Marley and Miriah. She loves caring for animals, especially her bulldogs Maggie and Marlow, camping, crocheting, baking, cooking and attending her daughters’ sporting events.
The credit union is also pleased to announce the promotion of Derek Barnett as the Assistant Branch Manager of the Wellston location. Derek began his career at Atomic in January 2019 as a Member Service Representative and Loan Officer. Since being with the credit union, Derek has worked at several branch locations, including Chillicothe – Bridge St., Oak Hill, and now Wellston.
“My favorite thing about working for Atomic Credit Union is that I can come up with creative solutions to benefit our members financial needs,” he stated. Derek is a graduate of Vinton County High School. He is a volunteer Boat Captain for the Jackson High School Bass Fishing Team. When not working, you can catch him out on the lake, watching Ohio State football, or spending time with his family!
In addition, Jackson County resident Jason Holzapfel as Business Relationship Officer. Jason comes to the credit union with 20+ years of business and retail experience. He has owned and operated convenience stores in Jackson County from 2000 until 2021. In addition, he has also worked in the areas of real estate and substitute teaching. Jason has served as the Treasurer of Wellston Main Street, a local group that brought Christmas and 4 th of July Celebrations to Wellston and is also a member of the Black Diamond Lodge 538 in Wellston. Jason resides in Wellston with his wife, Jackie, and their two children, Natalie and Owen. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and going out for a run.
