PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — In a joint operation on Tuesday, the Southern Ohio Organized and Major Crimes Task Force seized guns, drugs, and cash in a raid.

The task force executed a search warrant at 1603 7th Street, Portsmouth.
The task force agents were alerted to the situation by the US Marshals, who had been on the scene, and had suspected drug activity at the house. Task force agents promptly responded to the scene and secured a search warrant for a downstairs apartment. During the search of the residence, law enforcement seized approximately 30.4 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 7.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 60.4 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, digital scales, sandwich baggies, a loaded 9mm handgun, $1,163 in cash, and additional evidence of drug trafficking.
The case is set to be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office, where it will be presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury for consideration of felony charges.
