PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office has identified the woman killed in a tragic car crash on Wednesday.
42-year-old Linda K. Chaney of Columbus is the woman who was behind the wheel.
The accident happened on State Route 104 and Van Meter Road before 1 p.m. after a truck has dialed to negotiate a curve and drove over a deep embankment.
The woman was found inside, unresponsive. Initially, law enforcement could not identify her. The vehicle she was driving did not belong to her and the owner of it only knew her first name, the Sheriff said.
An autopsy, conducted by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, confirmed the identity of Chaney. The circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
