CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Nearly 150 participants filled the Majestic Theater auditorium to hear six bands and bid on auction items at the 39th annual “Rock for Tots” benefit.
On Friday, volunteers greeted guests, sold tickets and helped with the 50/50 raffle tickets in Chillicothe.
Among the volunteers were Tom and Cathy Swepston from Habitat for Humanity. As guests entered the auditorium, Tom and Cathy were bright and smiley while they sold 50/50 tickets. Cathy shared that this is their second-year volunteering, and they truly enjoy seeing everyone.
Before taking the stage, Chillicothe born and raised, Gage Chaney was energetic and ready to play with his band, Sugarloaf Shakedown.
“We are grateful and honored that we were given the chance to play for such a great cause,” he said. Chaney was referring to the money being raised from the event going to the purchase of gifts for needy children in the Scioto Valley.
The auction was hosted by Auction Ohio Teams: Old School Auctions, LLC (Taylor Sowers and Nedra Blanton) Troy and Sandy Collins Auction Service, and Keith Alcorn and Steve (Hum) Hummel, according to the Majestic Theater’s Rock for Tots advertisement.
The Majestic Theater is scheduled to host more holiday events. Check out the line-up at www.majesticchillicothe.net.
