ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A man in Ross County said he was kidnapped, held at gunpoint, and forced to dig his own grave.

The man reported that an acquaintance had kidnapped him, compelled him to sharpen saws that would be used to cut his body up, and subjected him to physical assault . He detailed a series of unsettling events, including threats with a gun and being forced to dig his own grave.

It all stems after the man said he was accused of stealing copper wire. That’s when his friend and another individual reportedly took his belongings at gunpoint and forced him to walk to a location where he dug a hole under duress and was told it was his “grave.”

After hours of being held hostage, the man said he was told they would shoot him and bury him, but the suspects changed plans and drove him to a different location. He was eventually found by someone else and taken to the local hospital, complaining of head pain, arm pain, and dizziness.

The case remains under investigation.
