ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Blain Highway on Saturday following reports of an active domestic situation, culminating in a use of force and subsequent arrest.

Upon arrival, the deputies were informed of a rolling domestic situation involving a male attempting to break windows outside a vehicle, allegedly to gain access to individuals inside. Dispatch reported the male’s alleged intoxication, damage to the vehicle’s mirror, and an alleged assault on a 15-year-old teen.

Shortly after backup arrived, units witnessed a struggle between one deputy and the male, identified as Darold Adkins.

Despite initial cooperation, Darold began resisting, leading deputies to take him to the ground. Additional assistance was employed to restrain Darold until he calmed down. Darold reportedly remained combative during transport, kicking the divider and door/window bars.

Photographs documenting the vehicle and damage were taken and added to the report. Deputies then escorted Darold to the jail, where he continued to be combative, necessitating assistance from corrections staff during processing.

Darold faces charges, including Endangering Children (F-3), Domestic Violence (M-1), Resisting Arrest (M-2), and Obstructing Official Business (M-2).
