VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — A one-vehicle crash on Friday evening injured a motorist and briefly closed a lane of Route 50 near McArthur.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 5:01 PM on February 9th.
26-year-old Mark D. Fout Jr. of Jackson was driving a 1999 Ford E-350 van westbound on Route 50 when he lost control, veered off the right side of the road, and struck an embankment.
Mr. Fout sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel. He was initially transported to Holzer Hospital in Jackson before being transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for further treatment.
One lane of Route 50 was closed for approximately an hour while authorities investigated the crash and removed the vehicle.
