COLUMBUS, Ohio — Authorities have made a tragic discovery, finding the body of a missing five-year-old boy. Darnell Taylor, reported missing earlier in the week by the husband of his foster mother, Pammy Maye, was located after a state-wide Amber Alert was issued. The husband expressed concerns to police, alleging that Maye had made statements indicating harm towards Darnell and revealing he hadn’t seen the child since mid-December.
Police in Brooklyn, Ohio, responded to a 911 call Thursday night about a woman, identified as Maye, wandering near a commercial building. Maye was taken into custody and later disclosed to investigators that Darnell’s body was in a sewage drain in Columbus. A search on Friday morning led to the tragic discovery of the boy’s lifeless body.
Authorities are now conducting a homicide investigation into Darnell’s death. Maye faces charges of kidnapping and endangerment, with additional murder charges being pursued.
