CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office has released new details on the overnight pursuit that led to the arrest of a local man.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies attempted a traffic stop along Three Locks Road when 34-year-old Ethan Depugh fled from law enforcement. Authorities state that Depugh lost control of his vehicle while turning onto Toad Hollow Road in Massieville.
Following the crash, Depugh allegedly fought with deputies, resisting arrest, until troopers from the Ohio Highway Patrol arrived on the scene.
Deputies discovered over $1,000 in cash, glass pipes, and suspected narcotics on Depugh’s person. A subsequent search of the car also revealed a large bag of suspected narcotics.
Officials say additional charges are pending lab analysis of the suspected drugs by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI). Depugh remains in custody at the Ross County Jail without bond.
