COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of Unclaimed Funds and the Better Business Bureau of Central Ohio are partnering to offer a free webinar on claiming unclaimed funds in Ohio. The webinar will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, February 28th, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Eastern Time.

- What unclaimed funds are: The webinar will explain what types of money can end up as unclaimed funds, such as uncashed checks, forgotten bank accounts, or unclaimed security deposits.
- How to find out if you have unclaimed funds: You’ll learn how to search the Ohio Division of Unclaimed Funds website (https://com.ohio.gov/unfd/) or https://missingmoney.com to see if you have any unclaimed money waiting for you.
- How to claim your unclaimed funds: The webinar will cover the steps involved in claiming your unclaimed funds, including any necessary documentation and timelines.
Claiming for Deceased Family Members: The webinar will also provide information on how to claim unclaimed funds on behalf of a deceased family member.
