VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — A Vinton County man was found guilty this week of multiple counts of child sexual abuse.
A jury returned guilty verdicts on an 18-count child sex abuse indictment against David Longworth.
It took jurors less than 2 hours to return a guilty verdict.
Longworth was found guilty on 6 counts of Rape of a child under the age of ten, 6 counts of Gross Sexual Imposition of a child under the age of ten, 3 counts of Possessing Criminal Tools for the use of a sex toy on a child, 2 counts of Endangering Children, and 1 count of Aggravated Possession of Methamphetamine.
A Presentence Investigation was ordered by the judge. Longworth remains in custody pending sentencing on $250,000.00 bond.
Sentencing wil be scheduled at a later date.
