POMEROY, Ohio — Meigs County Deputies were busy over the weekend, responding to a multitude of incidents ranging from stolen vehicles to suspicious persons.

It all began on March 1st at 5:17 AM when deputies were called to investigate a stolen vehicle on Gold Ridge Rd in Pomeroy. By midday, at 3:17 PM, a routine traffic stop on Main St in Rutland resulted in a verbal warning for an expired registration.

Throughout the day, deputies tackled various traffic-related issues and theft reports, including incidents involving stolen vehicles on Valley Belle Rd and suspicious persons on Ball Run Rd. The day concluded with a suspicious person call on Naylor’s Run Rd in Pomeroy, resulting in the apprehension of Kyle Lemley on an outstanding warrant.

As the sun rose on March 2nd, deputies responded to an early morning commercial alarm call and a suspicious person report. Throughout the day, they addressed animal complaints, theft reports, and conducted routine patrols and traffic stops.

Among the day’s incidents, Samantha Ridgway received a citation for an expired registration during a traffic stop on Pine Grove Rd near US 33 in Racine. Additionally, Larry Bunger was issued a summons for an animal at large on Darwin Rd in Shade.

The day concluded with the arrest of Anthony Thomas on multiple warrants out of Meigs County Common Pleas Court for failure to appear.
