POMEROY, Ohio — Sheriff Scott Fitch of the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office announced that his office has secured grant funding from the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) to bolster the Project Lifesaver program. This initiative is specifically designed to aid individuals living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
The allocated funding will be utilized to acquire transmitters. These transmitters play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable community members. By providing these devices, the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office aims to enhance the quality of life for those facing cognitive challenges.
The funding allows the program sets this program to be completely free for Meigs County residents.
