CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Businessman David Taylor secured victory in Ohio’s Second Congressional District race, marking a significant win in a crowded political landscape. Taylor beat out 10 other candidates for the nomination. Because the district is heavily red, Taylor is the presumptive Congressman-Elect.

Meanwhile, Cleveland-area businessman Bernie Moreno emerged victorious in the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate seat, setting the stage for a highly anticipated showdown in November against incumbent Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown.

Less than 15% of voters turned out to vote, according to local boards of elections.
