PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — Shawnee State University (SSU) is inviting the community to celebrate a celestial spectacle with a Solar Eclipse Watch Party on Monday, April 8th.

The event, hosted by SSU’s Clark Planetarium, will take place from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Advanced Technology Center. Guests can enjoy a live stream of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) eclipse feed within the Clark Planetarium’s immersive dome environment.

Weather permitting, the planetarium will also set up telescopes on the Student Resource Hub Lawn for safe, direct viewing of the eclipse. Attendees can ask questions and gain insights from expert planetarium operators stationed at the telescopes.

The Solar Eclipse Watch Party is open to the public, and visitors are welcome to come and go throughout the event.
