ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A high-speed chase involving a stolen car is ongoing in the Ross County area. The chase started just before 1:20 pm today.

The Ohio Highway Patrol pursued a stolen gray Nissan Sentra, bearing Ohio license plate JYE1563, on Route 35 from Jackson. Speeds during the chase reached close to 90 mph. Troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol ultimately terminated the chase for safety reasons.

Deputies in Ross County are currently searching for the stolen car. Authorities say the vehicle was taken from Wellston earlier today.

The whereabouts of the stolen Nissan Sentra are currently unknown.

Drivers in the area should use caution and be aware of possible police activity on Route 35.
