CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A routine traffic stop in Chillicothe on April 12 led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Officers from the Chillicothe Police Department observed a white Chevy Silverado pickup truck leaving a known drug house. The officers followed the vehicle to the area of W. 7th and Mechanic Streets.
Inside the vehicle were Christopher Crabtree, 53, and Brooke Beatty, 31, both residents of Chillicothe. According to the police, both individuals had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
Upon conducting a search, officers found a clear baggie containing a brownish powder substance and a burnt glass pipe, suspected to be drug paraphernalia.
Both Crabtree and Beatty were taken into custody, and their vehicle was towed. Authorities issued Crabtree a traffic citation and new charges of drug paraphernalia. Beatty was arrested on a secret indictment for two counts of felony possession of drugs.
