WEST UNION, Ohio — A theft ring was uncovered during the execution of a search warrant in Adams County, leading to the recovery of stolen property and narcotics.
Officers of the West Union Police Department, assisted by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), executed a search warrant on April 18th at 319 McArthur Street in West Union. The search followed charges submitted for thefts from local businesses, with losses totaling over $7,000 within a three-month period.
Several suspects involved in the thefts were located at the residence, leading to the recovery of some of the stolen property. Additionally, officers discovered narcotics. Investigators believe the remaining stolen items have already been sold.
The West Union Police Department issued a statement emphasizing their zero-tolerance policy for theft: “We will not tolerate thefts of any kind in the Village of West Union.”
Further investigation and potential arrests are expected.
