ASHVILLE, Ohio — A woman was killed Friday evening in Pickaway County. It happened at the intersection of State Route 762 East and Ashville Pike in Harrison Township.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered a two-vehicle collision. The preliminary investigation revealed that 19-year-old Andrew C. Himes, Thurston, Ohio, failed to yield to oncoming traffic while proceeding through a stop sign. He crashed into a van occupied by Charles R. Lingo, 58, Laura L. Lingo, 60, and Luka Lingo, 19, all from Goshen, Ohio.
As a result of the crash, Charles Lingo was transported by Jackson Township EMS to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. Luka Lingo was airlifted by Med-Flight to the same medical center. Laura Lingo was taken by Scioto Township EMS to Mt. Carmel Grove City, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the traffic crash.
