GALLIA COUNTY, OHIO — The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in finding 86-year-old Howard Moore.
Moore, who authorities say has a history of stroke, passing out, and onset of dementia, left his residence on foot to walk his dog earlier today.
According to authorities, Moore was last seen leaving his home on Starcher Road around 11 a.m.
Law enforcement is urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward immediately.
If anyone sees him or has any information, please contact the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office at 740-446-1221.
UPDATE:
The sheriff office says that Mr Moore has been located and is doing well. “It was reported that Mr. Moore became disoriented and became lost. I would like to thank the Ohio State Highway Patrol and their Aviation Unit for promptly responding and locating Mr. Moore,” said Sheriff Matt Champlin.
