Gallipolis, Ohio — A Gallia County man has been indicted after allegedly downloading private photos from clients’ phones while working at a cell phone repair business, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced today.
Calvin Jordan, 27, of Gallipolis, faces 40 felony counts in Gallia County Common Pleas Court. If convicted, he will be required to register as a sexual offender.
The charges against Jordan include:
- Three counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor (second-degree felony)
- One count of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented materials (fifth-degree felony)
- 36 counts of unauthorized use of property involving a computer, cable, or telecommunication device (fifth-degree felony)
Jordan, employed by Direct Computing Solutions (also known as DC Solutions) in Gallipolis, is accused of downloading nude and intimate photos from clients’ phones during repairs between December 2021 and April 2022.
The investigation, conducted by the Gallipolis Police Department and the attorney general’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation, identified more than 40 victims, including minors aged 14 to 17.
