Initial Narrative: While sitting stationary facing eastbound in the alley beside 178 N Bridge St, I observed a blue SUV traveling northbound on Bridge St. As the vehicle passed by, I noted the female driving was holding her cell phone with her right hand near the steering wheel. I activated my overhead lights and initiated a traffic stop in the area of Bridge and Marietta Rd. Upon approach, I made contact with driver Taryn Ricketts, who stated she was FaceTiming her friend about parking at work. Taryn was issued citation #53319 for Texting While Driving. She was provided with her copy and advised of the court date of 07/22/24 at 9:00 AM.
