CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — On July 11, 2024, a search warrant was executed at 35 North High Street in Chillicothe as part of a narcotics investigation targeting Ronald Allen Meadows. The warrant led to the discovery of drugs, firearms, and drug paraphernalia.

Meadows, reportedly the sole occupant of the residence, was detained and read his Miranda Rights, which he waived. When questioned about the presence of firearms and narcotics, Meadows initially denied knowledge of any firearms but allegedly admitted to having “crack” in the house.

During the search, officers found $625 in cash on Meadows. An Apple iPhone was recovered from the living room. The upstairs bedroom yielded multiple digital scales with white residue and several glass pipes with burn marks, commonly used for smoking crack cocaine.

In the bedroom closet, detectives found 17 boxes of Mannite “CICOGNA,” a cutting agent for fentanyl, along with a blue press box with white residue and a pill press. A locked black floor safe contained six rounds of .22 caliber ammunition, a Phoenix Arms .22 caliber handgun, a Taurus G3C 9mm handgun, a Cobra .38 Special revolver, a Beretta .22 caliber handgun, $3,878 in cash, and several bags of unknown substances suspected to be cocaine and fentanyl.

The suspected narcotics, weighing approximately 259 grams of cocaine and 103 grams of fentanyl, will be sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) laboratory for confirmation.

Meadows’ federal probation officer, Matthew Moore, was notified of the findings. Meadows, who has a history of felony drug and firearm convictions, was transported to the Ross County Jail and held on four counts of having weapons while under disability. Additional charges for drug trafficking and possession are pending the lab results from BCI.

The case is ongoing.
