COLUMBUS, Ohio — Devin Bailey, a 27-year-old resident of Millersport, Ohio, has been sentenced to 100 months in prison for crimes related to child pornography and sextortion.
Bailey was found guilty of distributing child pornography involving a minor and using those images to extort an adult victim for explicit photographs of herself.
Court documents reveal that Bailey operated multiple online personas to solicit sexually explicit photographs from the adult victim. He then used the obtained images to threaten and extort her for additional explicit photographs. Bailey is also accused of sending messages containing child pornography to the adult victim, who recognized one of the girls in the images as a 12-year-old she knew.
The minor victim had been deceived into believing she was sending explicit images and videos to a female in Florida, who was actually another persona of Bailey’s. Bailey had kept these images for over five years before using them to coerce the adult victim into taking sexually explicit photos of herself.
Bailey allegedly threatened to distribute the child pornography of the known minor female to the adult victim’s family members and across the internet if she did not comply with his demands.
In May and June 2022, Bailey reportedly used numerous email addresses, cell phone numbers, and Snapchat accounts to harass the adult victim, threatening to share pornographic images of her and the minor victim she knew.
A forensic review of Bailey’s electronic devices uncovered approximately 200 images and 20 videos of child sexual abuse material.
Bailey was federally charged in February 2023 and pleaded guilty in October 2023.
