CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Chillicothe City School District announced Wednesday that all enrolled students will receive free breakfast and lunch during the upcoming school year.
The district will implement the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of its participation in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Under CEP, schools in low-income areas can provide meals to all students at no cost, without requiring household applications.
Funding for the program comes from a formula based on the number of students who qualify for free meals due to participation in other government assistance programs.
