ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Deputies in Ross County are investigating the alleged theft of over $2,000 by a Family Dollar employee.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the Londonderry Family Dollar after receiving a report of the alleged theft. Deputies reportedly spoke to the manager, who claimed that over the course of 2 1/2 months, an employee had allegedly been stealing cash from the store. The manager stated that the employee would reportedly cancel transactions and pocket the money.
As part of the investigation, an alleged written confession of the crime was handed over to the deputies. Deputies said in their report that surveillance footage was also provided to support the claims.
Deputies said they would follow up on the case later this week.
