COLUMBUS, Ohio — The former city manager of Milford, located in Clermont County, has been charged with importuning, according to an announcement by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and Montgomery County Sheriff Rob Streck.

Michael Doss faces a charge of importuning, a fifth-degree felony, in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas.

The charge follows an undercover investigation by the Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, which revealed that Doss allegedly tried to solicit sex from someone he believed to be a 15-year-old girl. More charges are expected as the case progresses.

Doss recently stepped down from his role as Milford’s city manager after the allegations came to light.

The Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force operates under the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission, led by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and includes contributions from the Butler Township Police Department, Oakwood Police, and Homeland Security Investigations.
