JACKSON COUNTY, Ohio — A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash on County Road 89 in Madison Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Jacob Crisenbery, 30, Vinton,, was riding a 2006 Harley-Davidson northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve around 7:45 p.m. Crisenbery’s motorcycle veered off the left side of the road and struck a ditch, according to the Highway Patrol. After continuing along the road’s edge, he collided with a southbound vehicle, a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Charles Justus, 55, of Patriot,. The motorcycle overturned and came to rest on the roadside.
Crisenbery was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither Justus nor his passenger, Erica Justus, 50, sustained any injuries in the crash.
The Jackson and Gallia County Sheriff’s Offices, Jackson County EMS, Madison-Jefferson Fire Department, and Dale’s Towing assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
