ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Paint Valley Local School District is facing serious allegations after a parent claimed that a school bus driver assaulted their 5-year-old child. According to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was sent to investigate the incident reported by the concerned parent.
The parent alleges that over two weeks ago, the bus driver aggressively grabbed their child’s arm and pushed them back into their seat as they were getting off the bus. When the parent tried to get bus camera footage to support their claim, the district reportedly refused. The parent also accused staff members of trying to cover up the incident and said the Bus Supervisor threatened them with legal action if they pursued charges.
This incident adds to the district’s growing list of problems, as it has also been scrutinized for hazing issues in its sports programs. The Ross County Sheriff’s Office has not released further details about the investigation.
