ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Clarksburg village officials are on high alert over concerns of a potential building collapse at the intersection of Route 138 and Route 207. A brick building at the busy crossroads has reportedly lost its awning and several bricks, raising fears about the structure’s stability.
In response, local authorities have closed the roadways surrounding the building as a precaution. Officials hope to reopen the highways today, depending on the results of ongoing safety assessments.
“Attention Clarksburg residents,” Mayor Dunn stated, “We are still in the process of getting the highways open. There are many different agencies involved in making this happen. We do apologize for the inconvenience, but safety is our first priority. Please be cautious and considerate when trying to get through Clarksburg. Thank you.”
The village is coordinating with multiple agencies to ensure the area is safe for travel, urging residents to remain patient as crews work to assess the damage and clear the site.
