JEFFERSONVILLE, Ohio — Residents of Jeffersonville, a village of approximately 1,200 people in Fayette County, are experiencing a water service disruption Wednesday as crews work to repair a leak in a 4-inch main water line.

Village officials identified the leak earlier this morning after residents reported low water pressure. In response, water service has been shut off to complete necessary repairs. The outage is expected to last until at least 5 p.m., though further updates will be provided as repairs progress.

The village has assured residents that it will keep them informed as more information becomes available. Those who may have water — and when water is restored, residents are under a 48 hour boil advisory. If an address currently has water, the boil advisory is in effect immediately, as of 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
