HILLSBORO, Ohio — A series of eviction proceedings across southern Ohio is threatening the future of several Frisch’s Big Boy restaurants, with the Hillsboro location on North High Street scheduled for an eviction hearing on November 13. The closures, affecting locations throughout the region, are the result of ongoing legal issues that have led to eviction orders for numerous Frisch’s locations.
On October 30, a court ordered six Frisch’s locations to vacate their properties within seven days. These include the Bridgetown Road location in Cheviot, the Montgomery Road site in Norwood, Delhi Pike in Delhi, Plainfield Road in Blue Ash, Colerain Avenue in Colerain, and the Mason Montgomery Road location in Symmes Township. Meanwhile, additional locations face pending eviction hearings in early November, including the Beechmont Avenue site in Anderson Township, North Bend Road in Monfort Heights, Stone Drive in Harrison, and Chase Plaza in Forest Park.
Other sites awaiting decisions include the Germantown Road Frisch’s in Middletown (November 5), the Dixie Highway location in Fairfield (November 12), and Hillsboro’s own North High Street location (November 13). An eviction hearing is also set for the Winemiller Lane restaurant on November 20. In Loveland and Bethel, court-ordered evictions have already been granted, though both locations remain open as of now.
The upcoming eviction proceedings leave the future uncertain for Frisch’s staff and patrons in Hillsboro and surrounding areas, as these closures could significantly impact employees, regular customers, and the local dining scene.
