CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Pickaway County Community Action’s highly anticipated annual Chili Cook-Off is returning this Friday, Nov. 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Heritage Hall at the Pickaway County Fairgrounds. This year’s event promises to be bigger than ever, with 23 chili recipes competing for top honors in several categories.
“This is the most entries we’ve ever had for the cook-off,” said PICCA Executive Director Becky Hammond. “It’s very exciting because the proceeds will make the holiday season brighter for children and families in need in our community.”
For just $7, attendees will enjoy access to all the chili they can eat, along with live entertainment from Marty Hayes and the X-Perience Students. In addition to delicious chili, guests can participate in a silent auction featuring over 100 items, as well as raffles, a lottery, and a live auction, with all proceeds supporting local families.
The competition will be fierce as judges select winners for Best Specialty Chili and Best Original Chili, while guests can vote for the coveted People’s Choice award. Adding to the holiday cheer, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making a special appearance, offering attendees a photo opportunity.
