FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio — A two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon at the State Route 435 entrance to U.S. 35 eastbound left one person critically injured and three others hospitalized, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:45 p.m. when a 2007 black Honda Ridgeline, driven by Zachariah A. Doyle, 44, of Chillicothe, was traveling west on State Route 435. A 1953 red Chevrolet Brougham, driven by Charles D. Adams, 43, of South Salem, was heading east on the same road.
Doyle reportedly attempted to turn left onto the U.S. 35 eastbound ramp but failed to yield to the oncoming Chevrolet, which struck the Honda, deputies said.

Medical Response and Injuries
Adams was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight for treatment of serious injuries.
Doyle and two child passengers, ages 10 and 4, were transported to Adena Fayette Medical Center by Jefferson Township Fire & EMS for evaluation.
Investigation Ongoing
The crash temporarily disrupted traffic near the intersection as emergency crews responded.
