CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A man barred from all McDonald’s locations in Chillicothe was arrested early Saturday morning after locking himself in the bathroom of the Bridge and Second Street restaurant and resisting arrest when confronted by police.
Brian Alan Howard, previously banned from the fast-food chain, entered the McDonald’s at 40 N. Bridge St. around 5:45 AM, according to the store manager. The manager, the police report states, called the police, citing a prior incident that prohibited Howard from returning. When officers arrived, they found Howard sitting inside the dining room.
According to the officers on the scene, Howard reportedly resisted arrest by tensing his arms and attempting to walk toward the exit. Howard, the report states, was taken to the ground during the altercation with police. Howard, the officer said, sustained a cut above his left eye, prompting a response from EMS. Howard was initially transported to the Ross County Jail but was refused entry until he received medical attention. He was later treated at Adena Regional Medical Center and returned to jail, where he was booked on charges of criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
Howard is expected to appear in court to face the charges.
