ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that left two men seriously injured early Monday morning. The crash occurred on Eastern Avenue near Stauffer Lane in Scioto Township, Ross County, at approximately 4:34 a.m.
A 2003 Honda Element, driven by Harley Maynard, 23, of Chillicothe, was traveling northwest on Eastern Avenue when it crossed the center line and collided with a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Adam Clark, 36, also of Chillicothe, according to investigators.
Maynard sustained serious injuries and was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center by Scioto Township EMS. Clark was also seriously injured and taken to Grant Medical Center by Huntington Township EMS.
Emergency crews from the Ross County Sheriff’s Department, Scioto Township Fire and EMS, Huntington Township Fire and EMS, Veteran Affairs Fire and EMS, and Chillicothe Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
