CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a tragic single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a Frankfort man early Friday morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:08 a.m. on Norman Hill Road near Montgomery Lane in Ross County. According to investigators, a 2002 Ford F-350 driven by 28-year-old Kyler A. Mootz was traveling north on Norman Hill Road when the vehicle veered off the left side of the roadway. The truck struck a guardrail and a culvert before overturning.
Emergency responders from Concord Township EMS transported Mr. Mootz to Adena Regional Medical Center. Despite their efforts, Mr. Mootz succumbed to his injuries.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities have not released further details at this time.
Norman Hill Road was temporarily closed during the investigation but has since reopened.
