WAVERLY, Ohio — Three members of the Wagner family will be sentenced today. It comes after their involvement in the killing of eight members of the Rhoden Family in 2016. The sole-Wagner family member to go to trial is the patriarch, Bill Wagner.

Today, Billy’s mother-in-law, Rita Newcomb, son Jake Wagner, and wife Angela Wagner will learn their fates. Newcomb is charged with obstruction and struck a plea deal to cooperate with the state for probation. Angela and Jake were spared the death penalty if they testified against their family members.

Here’s the video of the sentencing:

Angela was supposed to get 30 years and Jake would get eight life sentences without the death penalty. However, the new judge on the case decided he would sentence them prior to their cooperative testimony in Billy’s trial, which has yet to go before a jury.
